The Green Party of Nova Scotia is thrilled that its issues are finding their way into the policy announcements of other parties in the current provincial election campaign. The Green Party commends the Progressive Conservatives, New Democrats and Liberals for moving towards green positions with their recent policy announcements. Policy announcements on Friday, May 29 that address Green Party concerns include:

• The Progressive Conservatives call for local food promotion.
• The New Democrats call for insulation grants for homeowners in the interest of promoting energy efficiency and reducing greenhouse gases.
• The Liberals call for greater financial support for the arts and culture as an economic generator.

The Green Party will continue to represent the interests of Nova Scotians by advancing an agenda of financial and environmental responsibility and self-sufficiency, and welcomes the opportunity to work with all parties that demonstrate a willingness to move towards the party's goals for Nova Scotia.
